In the past year, the need for solutions that deliver powerful insights to federal law enforcement agencies became more important than ever. These solutions need to provide interoperability, connectivity, and speed to enhance overall mission delivery. And these solutions are innately connected to the future of 5G.

To meet these needs, it is critical to ensure that priority networks provide a stable platform for enhancing communications and having “priority calls” being received for faster and more effective responses. This also helps with video sharing and interoperable communications in near real-time. 5G will play a critical helping to enhance overall communications at the edge, and beyond, for law enforcement agencies.

These were the key themes from the Federal Law Enforcement podcast interview, hosted on Government Technology Insider, where Sam Kroack, IoT Business Development Manager at Verizon, discusses how federal law enforcement agencies are improving mission delivery with these types of solutions.

“When looking at how 5G has developed over the last year, there are many partners looking at priority services going from one network to another network, and there are new ways to share video and interoperable communications through a network – enhancing safety and response,” said Kroack. “We have really only scratched the surface when it comes to 5G capabilities, where mission-critical information can be shared in real-time. The possibilities are endless.”
