In Part Two of our conversation with Mr. Jay McCargo of AR Services, we were joined by his colleague, Kelli Anthony. We had a chance to talk more about the Day of Service program and why it is important for AR Services to continue to support it.
“As a business owner and employer, your business has a responsibility to the community that you operate in….and where you and your employees live, ” said Mr. McCargo. As a company that operates in 14 states and the District of Columbia, AR Services was looking for a way to have community impact in a way that could involve every employee who wanted to participate and have an impact. McCargo and his team sought to develop a program that could be tailored, self-selected and used by any employee in any of the company’s locations.
When asked about employee examples of service, Ms. Anthony shared an inspiring story of a personal connection she made during the time she dedicated to a local organization in her community.
