Also known as Enterprise IT as a Service, EITaaS allows defense agencies to focus more on the warfighter by outsourcing IT services to commercial companies in an effort to increase user efficiencies, effectiveness, and standardize network services across their entire base.

In part four of the “Let the Warfighter Fight” EITaaS podcast series, hosted on Government Technology Insider, Eric Hardie, Principal Architect at Verizon, discusses how EITaaS helps to improve cross functionality and processes for the Department of Defense.

“If you think about the key component of EITaaS, it all centers around a new identity model, and this assists in creating a new process flow when it comes to improved cross functionality. The DoD is trying to transform to this new model, and this is where they will see the greatest improvement, and focus on the mission. In addition, the DoD is already addressing COVID, and this new identity model works more seamlessly in this context.”
