As federal agencies manage greater volumes of data – structured, unstructured, and ever more amid today’s remote work environments — public sector leaders are turning that data into actionable insights to help drive the mission. Which is why modern cloud services have never been more important.

Today’s cloud capabilities allow agencies to improve performance, scalability, and availability, all within a secure and compliant environment. The right cloud solution enables agencies to connect all their disparate data environments together to power the mission.

If 2020 has taught agencies anything, it’s that the inherent flexibility of the cloud is an essential part of ensuring mission success. But all services aren’t the same, particularly for massive enterprise organizations.

Mark Comishock, Product Management Director at Oracle, noted during a recent webinar that Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is particularly suited to the new and evolving demands agencies are encountering. “OCI for US government regions provides a highly secure, enterprise-scale cloud ecosystem that’s isolated from commercial customers and is built specifically to support regulatory, compliant mission-critical public sector workloads.”

Expanding an agency’s cloud environment can be incremental. It allows the agency to seamlessly manage workloads and enterprise applications for finance or HR  on-premises or in the cloud, as long as they choose the right platform.

GSA’s Ashley Mahan, Secure Cloud Portfolio and FedRAMP Director, stated that “the ability to work remotely in a virtual and secure environment is more important than ever. The use of cloud technologies has helped the government be more resilient and shift to these new ways of work.”

With enterprise-ready cloud infrastructure, agencies are “able to accomplish and deliver extremely fast performance with massive storage and scalability across applications. It allows you to manage your applications, giving you better versatility and agility,” said Comishock.

To learn more, register here for our free, on-demand webinar – Government Foundations Training – which will take you through the basics of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This training session reviews cloud concepts, components of OCI, along with the core solutions and services available today. You’ll also see how Oracle’s dedicated government regions are helping agencies exceed performance, availability and scalability standards.
