Recently, we published a letter from Jay Olsen, Director for Digital Services at CSRA, inviting federal IT leaders to learn more about DevOps. In the letter he laid out a strong case for the integration of two sides of the IT shop that frequently operate in silos. While that got the conversation started for several federal CIOs, we realized that there was still much more to learn about DevOps.
We invited Jay to sit down with Ryan Schradin, host of the Federal Technology Insider podcast to talk about how agencies can get started building a DevOps culture. Jay obliged and in just under 10 minutes, he and Ryan isolated the key steps to building a DevOps culture and the benefits it brings to federal agencies.
While some benefits, like improved efficiency and waste reduction that comes with collaboration are intuitive, there are some unexpected improvements that are brought to IT projects when DevOps is fully embraced. You can learn more about these unexpected improvements and the critical role that CIOs play in creating a successful DevOps culture by listening to the podcast.
