The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are just a few that have agencies levering cloud-based solutions to enhance mission delivery.
In 2015, the CTFC implemented Payroll Forecasting applications. These applications provide agencies with a single source of truth by centralizing data needed for budgeting and planning. By combing multiple data sources from human resources, accounting, travel expenses, and payroll, agencies have a holistic view of their spending.
“The CFTC cloud migration has enabled our federal partners to have easier access to their data in a way that no longer requires them to be dependent on external teams,” said Jake Norton with Alpine Consulting Partners. “In turn, this enables us to lower system downtime associated with on-premise maintenance. Savings accrued from cloud migrations can be directed towards furthering the CFTC’s mission.”
With automated data collection and forecasting, agencies like the Commodity Futures Trading Commission can better handle resources and employees and plan accurately for years to come. “Cloud migrations are vital to having easier access to your data and not needing to rely on other teams with control over your on-premise system. Perhaps most important, however, is the dramatically reduced storage and infrastructure costs associated with cloud implementations,”concluded Norton.
