This year marks an important milestone for Venturi LLC, A Chenega Company based in Huntsville, Alabama. For 20 years, the team at Venturi has been developing core capabilities for the aerospace and defense communities in areas such as logistics, hypersonic systems, facilities master planning, and launch and test range services. This work is vitally important to the defense and protection of the nation and national security. However, Venturi’s impact goes further, to help the Huntsville and North Alabama thrive as a growing and compassionate community.

“At Venturi, we have an unwavering commitment to three core values, our people, the missions we support, and our focus on giving back to our community,” shared John Jordan, President of Venturi. “Because we are a small business and part of the Chenega family of companies, we can keep our focus on agility and excellence for our customers and our people while knowing  we have the resources, stability, and resilience of our parent company not just to back us but to enable us to drive innovation and propel us and our customers forward.”

Venturi was built on a three-part foundation, a commitment to people, mission, and community. “People come first through a culture that prioritizes collaborative work, employee well-being, and professional growth,” explained William Webb, Senior Vice President of Operations at Venturi. “The mission drives operational excellence, ensuring that every project and every decision supports the warfighter and strengthens national security. And finally, community is reflected in how Venturi shows up in the communities where we live through volunteerism and charitable efforts that enrich the lives of all. These values aren’t just words; they guide our daily actions.”

With this foundation in place, Venturi’s team   focuses on its customers and their mission-critical work. “Every Venturi customer has a mission to achieve, and our employees are focused on ensuring that each customer accomplishes mission success,” shared Derek Johns, Director, Talent Acquisition and Resource Management, at Venturi. “As such, we always put the mission front and center when we execute our work from contract start to finish.” Venturi’s culture of trust and collaboration ensures that teams are deeply aligned with the warfighter’s needs and can respond to mission needs and quickly deliver unique, tailored solutions.

While mission-critical work in support of national security drives Venturi’s business, an internal passion unites and focuses employees. Because of the success Venturi has built in Huntsville, the company is committed to giving back to the communities where its employees live. As a company, Venturi has donated over $2.5 million to non-profit organizations in Huntsville.  In addition to the company’s community support, the Venturi Brighter Day Employee Fund (Brighter Day), serves as the legacy for the company and the employees. “The fund was created in 2007, and it is funded and operated 100 percent by Venturi employees,” explained Johns. “Since its inception, Brighter Day has awarded over $1.2 million in grants to eighty non-profit organizations. Moreover, our employees have donated thousands of volunteer hours to support projects ranging from building wheelchair ramps to assembling bicycles for children and veterans with disabilities to supporting hunger ministries. Our leadership team is humbled by our employees’ philanthropy, and our employees are enriched and honored to give their time, talent, and financial resources to ensure others have a brighter day.”

For the last 20 years, Venturi and its employees have been all in on supporting the mission and the Huntsville community. The only question now is what this local powerhouse will accomplish in the next 20 years. “During the next 20 years, there will be unimaginable advancements in technology that we will use to support our customers and the mission,” shared Jordan. “One thing is certain, Venturi will continue to drive positive change for its people, mission partners, and all of the communities where our employees live and work as we grow.”
