The Federal Cloud Computing Initiative (FCCI) is aimed at driving the adoption of cloud computing solutions in the federal government, but it also serves to address obstacles that are created by the adoption of Cloud Computing initiatives. In this recent video from FCW’s Transforming Federal Architectures event, Eric Fischer, senior specialist in science and technology for the Congressional Research Service, highlights the implications and efforts related to Federal IT management reform under the FCCI.  He also examines whether cloud computing is transformative and if it will benefit federal agencies, the associated risks and traps related to the FCCI, how well is it being implemented, and the role of Congress in the effort.
