For today’s public sector organizations, relying on traditional business intelligence is no longer enough to be able to deliver on the mission. Analytics processes need to be capable of informing immediate action based on real-time, up-to-date data and insights. This dynamic approach to intelligence is relatively nascent, and with limited resources, it can be challenging to learn more about building a data-driven agency. To help Chief Data Officers and other data-driven government leaders, Qlik is hosting its Public Sector Summit in Washington, D.C. on June 2nd. The summit will bring together data and analytics professionals from federal, state, and local agencies to discuss how public sector agencies can put data to work to solve today’s most pressing challenges.
Attendees will have control over their summit experience with a flexible schedule that allows each participant to choose the most relevant sessions to their needs and interests. The day will begin with a keynote speech from Qlik’s CEO, Mike Capone, and continues with sessions about cloud modernization for federal IT leaders and data literacy as a core competency for the public sector workforce. The afternoon can be tailored to each attendee’s preferences: participants can choose one of four breakout tracks: Data Strategy, which will examine the role of data in enterprise decision-making; Customer Stories, featuring the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education, Freddie Mac and the United State Postal Inspection Service; Qlik Cloud Government, which covers topics ranging from SaaS to a discussion of FedRAMP policy; and a half-day stop of the QlikWorld Tour, a reimagining of the QlikWorld global conference.
This year’s summit offers not only an opportunity to learn, but also give back. The 2022 Public Sector Summit is collaborating with VETSports.org, an organization working to assist veterans with reintegration into their communities through sports, community service, events, and partnership. In addition to a morning session featuring VETSports’ president, Randy Tharp, attendees can help raise money for the charity by testing their cornhole skills against Brandon Morris, VETSports member and national cornhole champion.
With its diverse range of speakers and sessions, the 2022 Public Sector Summit promises valuable insights and connections to help leaders in the public sector accelerate decision making and build a data-driven culture within their organization.
