While the Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative (FDCCI) dictates closing 40 percent of the government’s 3000+ data centers by the end of 2015, this effort should be looked at as an opportunity, not just a mandate.

A video from Brocade highlights how simply reducing the number of data centers is a flawed approach. Instead, agencies must improve their data centers and optimize what they have – particularly as the amount of data and the number of applications used by these groups continues to grow.

Learn more about how the deployment of the right tools better enables agencies to meet their directives and mission, spend less and improve service delivery. Through the use of an open standards-based Ethernet fabric technology geared for consolidated environments, federal networking ultimately becomes a simpler and more efficient task.
