The role of the federal CIO has changed tremendously over the past several years.  From managing IT procurements to cybersecurity and data center consolidation, this role has become very strategic for agencies – where all efforts need to support the business and the mission.

Bridging the gap between IT and the mission is driving the success of many government CIOs today.  With innovation moving faster than ever, it can be also challenging for government CIOs to effectively embrace the right technologies, while also supporting mission goals.

These are some of the key insights from a recent Federal Technology Insider podcast with Nate Rushfinn, Enterprise Architect at CA, who discusses the ever-changing role of the federal CIO.  Be sure to listen to the full interview below.
